School begins the 20th here in Ohio as well, my youngest will be a Senior this year,
then she will be heading to the Univ. of Georgia. :(
Have some of that 'empty nest' feeling going on in my heart !
But I am blessed with a beautiful grand-daughter who just turned 4 last month
so Mamaw will just have to spoil her even more now!! LOL

I need to share with you the loss of my beloved Rambo....Yesterday morning I let the dogs out as I always do when we get up....Sometimes I go out with them and sometimes I don't....I like to let them run around and get their exercise....It wasn't fifteen minutes and Mike heard Bouncer barking so MIke went to see what was going on...
As soon as Mike opened the door to the back porch Bouncer was crying and beside him laid Rambo passed away....Mike yelled for me and I went running and as soon as I saw my Rambo I fell to my knee's and lost it from there....I went into shock and started hyperventilating my heart is broken....Mike gave me a sleeping pill and had to help me to bed after he got me calmed down...I woke up all during the night crying my heart out....Rambo was my little buddy most of you have seen photos of my little buddy on my blog he was my red long hair dachshund....He was a cutie and the best of my three babies he never did wrong he was the one who wanted to please you and loved being held like a baby.....I love them all but he was special in his own way....
Mike took Rambo to the Vet yesterday to find out why he died so suddenly without any warning.....A few hours later when I woke up Mike told me the vet said it had to be his heart he had a heart murmur since he was a pup...He was 11 years old I know that's old in dog years but these little guys can live as long as 16 years old....I had a dachie years ago to live to be 15 years old.....My little Harlea and Bouncer are brother and sister and they both will be 11 in October..... They are the two that always cry their way into our bed....They have their own youth bed in our room and Rambo loved his bed but Harlea and Bouncer had much rather be in bed next to mommy......
Mike just put Rambo to rest in our pet cemetery this morning as it was late when the vet gave him back to Mike and then it poured down rain......Thank you for
being the friend you are to me.....I needed a friend right now to share my loss with.....
and thank you for letting me talk about my beloved Rambo..... There like our kids and they
love you no matter what....The saying "MANS BEST FRIEND" so true!!..We will miss
our little buddy..I love you Rambo...

The Smart Pig

A traveling salesman came upon an old farmer sitting on his porch, next to the farmer was a pig with only one leg. The salesman was about to give his sales pitch when his curiosity got the best of him.

Excuse me sir, but why does your pig only have one leg? asked the salesman.

Well sonny , I'll tell ya. One day I was out plowing the back 40 when my tractor overturned, pinning me underneath. I was losing blood and thought I would die when that pig came running. He dug and rooted around with his nose till he got me out and he dragged me back to the house. Saved my life that pig did.

Wow, that's really amazing said the salesman , but I still don't know why the pig only has one leg.

Well I'll tell ya, said the farmer. One night me and the wife were asleep at about 3am when a fire broke out in the kitchen. Well that pig broke down the door, came into our bedroom waking us up and getting us out before the fire could get us , saved our lives that pig did!

Well that really great but why does the pig only have one leg?

Well sonny, when you get a pig that smart,
you don't want to eat him all at once!
